Get ready for a quick but monstrous review of one of the best and most famous football leagues out there. I bet that there’s no football fan who hasn’t heard of Real Madrid or Barcelona. In fact, if we were to decide on the greatest team of all time based on the most Champions League trophies, we’d all have to agree upon the fact Los Blancos are the goats.

And yes, it’s La Liga that I’ll try to bring light on. The most well-known and well-liked Spanish domestic league, where every season features amazing games and tough matches, determination, suspense and unexpected outcomes.

Format and New Teams

The La Liga format has remained the same in the previous years. This further means that 20 clubs will compete for the prestigious La Liga trophy. The teams that occupied the first 17 spots in the last season automatically qualified for the 2023/24 season.

Unfortunately, three clubs (Espanyol, Valladolid and Elche) had to leave this competition as they were the three teams that ranked at the very bottom. To maintain the 20-team format, another three clubs (Las Palmas, Granada and Alaves) joined La Liga.

La Liga features a round-robin format. This means that each club plays two matches against all the other teams in the competition. This totals to 38 rounds. The club that wins the most points is the one that gets the title.

However, if two teams have the same number of points after the last round, the one with the better h2h score takes the trophy. Only if their h2h scores are identical will the winner be decided by the overall goal difference.

In the event that more than two teams have the same number of points, the club that was most successful in the games played against one another will be the trophy winner. If all teams have the same score, it’s once again the total goal difference that counts as the parameter to determine the champions.

The best four-ranking teams qualify for the Champions League. The club that ends in the fifth spot goes to the Europa League. The Copa del Rey winners also reserve a place in the Europa League.

On the occasion that any Spanish team wins the Europa League, they will get a spot in the Champions League, regardless of the first four ranking clubs. Finally, the holders of the sixth place on the table go to the Conference League.

Favourites & Potential Top Goalscorers

I know that we shouldn’t rush, but bookies’ La Liga favourites are already there. Taking a look at the odds, it’s obvious that Real Madrid is the number one contender for the trophy.

Barcelona’s winning odds have a few more decimals to their value. Behind both of these clubs is Altetico Mardid. Interestingly, bookies put all the other teams far away from the aforementioned ones when it comes to lifting the trophy.

The goalscoring odds lie in favour of Lewandowski. They also put forward Bellingham, after whom we found Griezmann. Besides, Vinicius Junior and Morata have slight but fair chances of being the best-scoring players in the 2023/24 La Liga season.

La Liga is one of the Big Five. Along with the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Ligue 1, they make for the strongest five football leagues worldwide. The full name of the league is Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Primera Division, and it was founded in 1929.

The league consists of 20 teams, with three relegated each season. However, only one can stand at the summit. With only a few games left before the end, the options come down to only a few teams. Find out who are the three biggest contenders for the La Liga title in 2023.

Barcelona

Barcelona are by far the biggest contenders for this year’s La Liga trophy. They are currently the table leaders. The lead they have at the moment is enough to say that they have already won the league. Their biggest rivals, Real Madrid have had a challenging season, leaving Barcelona uncontested.

Xavi’s success in his first full year at Barcelona delighted Barcelonistes around the world. Barca will lift the La Liga trophy for the first time since 2019, despite the financial issues they had this season. It was clear from the start that they had one thing in sight, taking the league. And after the great success, they are just waiting for the remaining games to play out so they can celebrate.

Real Madrid

Los Blancos are one of the oldest clubs, one of the three founding clubs of the La Liga. No matter the competition, they are consistently among the top contenders for the championship. While they have lifted the La Liga trophy 35 times, they have failed to be competitive enough this season.

Yielding the trophy to Barcelona, and dropping from the Champions League, one might say they have had a disastrous season. Despite their overall success, the lack of a trophy is a hard blow for the team. While Real will look to make some drastic changes, Ancelotti will likely remain in the club.

Atletico Madrid

Finally, the last of the top three contenders for the La Liga are traditionally Atletico Madrid. After taking the throne 11 times so far, they are always a serious threat to both Real Madrid and Barcelona.

They have had great success throughout the season, but their effort was just short of the required. The Colchoneros were always at the top of the league, and their last championship was in 2020.

Diego Simeone has led the Mattress Makers since 2011, and the club seems content with how El Cholo’s success. Nonetheless, they will have to make a play for one of the more important trophies in the upcoming season. We are certain they will remain to be one of the top three contenders for La Liga next season.

The Spanish La Liga has been known as a two-horse race for most of the previous seasons. With Barcelona and Real Madrid often being the main and only contenders for the crown. Not a lot has changed for the 2022/23 La Liga season, with Barca close to securing another title and Real finishing a close second.

Nevertheless, we can’t disregard the efforts of other Spanish sides, which did their best to challenge the dynamic duo of Spanish football. Basically, they did as much as they could and, in some cases, performed better than expected. Here are the best La Liga teams and their current performance for the season.

Barcelona

Barcelona is very close to capturing their 27th Spanish championship title. Their Champions League and Europa League performances may have been disappointing. But as far as La Liga goes, they have been one of the most dominant sides.

What’s changed for Blaugrana is that they are not beating down their opponents by destroying offence. They are stifling other teams with staggering defence. Barca’s defence has conceded only 9 goals so far, making them the best defensive team in all of Europe.

Real Madrid

As things look now, Los Blancos are not going to be able to defend their La Liga crown. They might host the best offence in the league and have scored the most goals. But it is not enough to challenge for the first spot.

Nevertheless, Real is set to face Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final and are in the semis of the Champions League. Basically, if Real manages to win a back-to-back UCL title, it will save their season.

Atletico Madrid

Diego Simeone’s side had an embarrassing exit from the Champions League. They finished fourth in Group B, which ended their European campaign for this season. But it allowed them to focus more on the domestic matchups, which greatly improved their form.

Before losing to Barcelona, Los Colchoneros were on a 13-game unbeaten run. They are now looking great, with Antoine Griezmann as a revised player with 20 goal contributions this season. They are more than likely to finish third and secure a Champions League spot for next season.

Real Sociedad

Sociedad has been quietly having one of their best seasons as of late. They are currently ranked fourth in La Liga and have a chance to secure a Champions League spot in years.

Unfortunately, they finished their Europa League campaign in the Round of 16 at the hands of Roma. Nevertheless, all things point to Erreala improving on their sixth place from last year.

Real Betis & Villarreal

Betis and Villarreal are currently battling for the fifth spot in La Liga. Two points separate them at this moment, and literally anything can happen till the end of the season.

Real Betis has had a much better first part of the season. They ranked among the best Spanish sides for the majority of the season. Man Utd eliminated them in the Round of 16 of the Europa League. But it was a successful Europe outing for them nonetheless.

Villarreal started playing their best football in the latter part of the season. They got to the Round of 16 of the Conference League, but could not get past Anderlecht. The Yellow Submarine had their best showcasing after beating Real Madrid by 3:2. If they continue in the same manner, they should be on their way to European football for next season as well.

Are you in for getting to know about the overall performance of one of the most popular football clubs in the world? If yes, this post got you covered. More specifically, I will give you some details about Barcelona’s performance in the 2022/23 season.

Not only will I include their domestic league results but also their success rate regarding the European contests they played. This overview can help you get a clearer picture of where this team positions at the moment as well as what you can expect from them in the near future.

Barcelona’s Success in La Liga

Barca started off furiously and gained many victories. Interestingly, they used to score more than one goal in most of the games they played at the beginning of the La Liga season. Still, they allowed very few goals.

As the season progressed, Barcelona continued to terrorise their opponents, as they won the majority of their matches. Lewandowski was in amazing form and scored numerous goals. The only thing that changed later was Barcelona’s average number of goals.

In other words, they kept winning, but less convincingly. Besides a few draws and defeats, Barca won all the remaining games and secured the first spot in the La Liga table. Taking their current position and form into account, most experts expect Barcelona to win the title this season.

Performance in European Competitions

Despite playing very well in their domestic league, I can say that Barca dropped the ball in the European tournaments. First of all, they did not manage to get past the group stage in the Champions League.

More precisely, Barcelona ranked third as they were left behind by Bayern Munich and Inter. Afterwards, Barca joined the playoff stage of the Europa League. They confronted Manchester United. As the Englishmen were having some of their best performances at that time, Barcelona got eliminated by United.

They tied the first game as a home team (2:2) but lost in England by 2:1. This was the last match that Barca played in the European competitions in the 2022/23 season.

Conclusion

All in all, I can conclude that this has been a very interesting and good season for Barcelona. My opinion is based on a few important factors. First, Barca had to deal with the departure of one of the best footballers ever, Lionel Messi.

Apart from his amazing games, Messi was the leader of the team and was in charge of keeping the team spirit at high levels. Another key argument is that Barcelona suffered a big financial crisis. So, they somehow got back on their feet and signed some top players like Lewandowski.

Also, Xavi’s performance as a coach has been astonishing when it comes to La Liga results from this season. Unlike the previous season, Barca is now much closer to the La Liga title. This is yet another factor showing how well Barcelona has performed so far, knowing that Real Madrid’s form is also pretty good.

Real Madrid are one of the most trophied football clubs in the world. In their incredible history, Los Blancos won countless trophies in both international and national competitions. Their most significant trophies include 34 La Liga, and 14 Champions League titles

The reigning champions of the UCL, Los Merengues, are enjoying another quality season. Find out more about Real’s performance in all competitions this season below.

Champions League

Los Blancos from Madrid continue to produce extraordinary results in the Champions League. They have clearly found the secret ingredient to winning the most prestigious football competition. This season, they have their eyes set on the 15th trophy.

It was clear that Los Merengues are among the favourites to win the competition from the start. In the first round of the playoffs, Real went up against Liverpool. With an outstanding 2:5 win at Anfield, it was clear what their priorities are this season. On aggregate, Real overcame the Reds 6:2.

In the second round, Real Madrid went up against another top-flight English club. Los Blancos easily overcame the first leg against Chelsea with a 2:0 win at home. Chelsea are struggling this season, but they still have a chance to take Real out of the competition.

While you can’t write off any of the clubs remaining in the competition, Real’s biggest threat are Manchester City. If the results favour both Real and City, they can meet in the semifinals. Even after that, they are to either AC Milan, Napoli, Benfica, or Inter. But, Citizens remain the biggest challenge.

La Liga

Real Madrid are the current La Liga champions. They have won the national league 35 times so far, and have been the runners-up 24 times. This season is a bit more challenging for Los Blancos, as they are 11 points behind Barcelona, the table leaders. With nine more games remaining in the league, their chances of lifting the La Liga trophy are small.

Barcelona took the crucial win in the most recent La Liga El Clasico, with a 2:1 win. While Real are looking to retake the throne, they should also look out for Atletico, who are only two points behind.

Real will have trouble focusing on the national league with the Champions League and Copa del Rey participation. Nonetheless, they will continue to fight on all fronts, looking to seize all the crucial trophies this season.

Copa del Rey

The Cope Del Rey, or La Copa, is the oldest Spanish football competition played nationally. Los Blancos won the tournament 19 times so far, and this season, they have a chance to win their 20th title.

To reach the finals, Los Blancos overcame opponents such as Villareal and Atletico Madrid. However, their most challenging matchup was against their rivals, Barcelona. In this La Copa El Clasico, Real lost the first leg 1:0 at home.

It seemed like Barcelona had an easy road to the finals. But with a stunning 4:0 win at Camp Nou, Los Blancos reached the competition’s finals. Real’s opponent in the finals of the tournament are Osasuna. If they can win here, they will secure another major trophy in their already long list of championships won.

La Liga is known as one of the five top leagues in Europe. It is the highest-tier footballing competition in Spain but is known for being one of the most famous and important leagues in the world. Even though the two clubs reign supreme and have done so during the better part of the league’s history, there is still so much more that people should know about the Spanish championship.

The premier football competition in Spain is known to most by the name La Liga. Officially, it is called “Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Primera División,” or to simplify it a bit “Primera División.” That and a lot more coming your way in the following lines.

The History and Founding of La Liga

The first Primera Division in Spain was held officially in 1929, but the idea of establishing it came a year before that. A proposal was made by José María Acha, the director of Getxo, who perceived the notion of Spain having a national league. It took a lot of debates to establish the original format, and they eventually came down to ten clubs that would start the competition.

The first clubs to be included were past Copa del Rey winners, Athletic Club, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Real Sociedad, Real Union, and Getxo. They were joined by Espanyol, Atletico Madrid, and Europa as Copa Del Rey’s runners-up. Racing Santander was added through qualifications.

Interestingly, the trio of founding clubs which includes Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Athletic Club, were never relegated from the Primera Division and remain top-tier clubs to this day.

The Format of the League

Even though the number of clubs has changed throughout the years, the current system includes 20 top Spanish clubs. This format was introduced in 1987 and lasted till 1995, when two more clubs were allowed to join.

However, It lasted only two seasons, and from 1997 till the present day, La Liga encompasses 20 clubs in its system. They follow a regular double round-robin system, where each club plays against one another two times, a home and an away game, totalling 38 matches a season.

The same as in other top leagues, a promotion and relegation system is adopted where the clubs with the worst record drop down to the Segunda Division and are substituted by the best clubs in the second-tier league of Spain.

Currently, the three worst clubs are directly relegated and replaced by the two best clubs from the Segunda Division. The third club is determined through a play-off system where four additional clubs play for the final promotion spot.

As far as the top of the league goes, the best clubs are rewarded with direct or qualification spots for European competitions. The top four clubs qualify directly for the forthcoming Champions League Group Stage.

The fifth-positioned club of the league will get a spot in the Europa League Group Stage. In contrast, the sixth club of the league will qualify for the subsequent Conference League play-off round.

La Liga Past Winners

With 94 years of history behind us, La Liga has only nine champions. You can probably guess that Real Madrid and Barcelona are the most successful ones. Actually, the duo accounts for 61 Spanish titles in total. Real Madrid is by far the most successful club in Spain, with 35 titles to their name.

Barcelona is the second-best club, with 26 titles, followed by Atletico Madrid with 11. Athletic Bilbao has managed to capture eight titles, but the last one came in 1983. Valencia has six, but their last title-winning campaign was in 2003. Real Sociedad has two trophies, while clubs like Deportiva La Coruna, Sevilla and Real Betis have won the title only once.

However, only three clubs have interchangeably won La Liga in the last 18 years. Barca has won 10, Real Madrid six, and Atletico Madrid two times. Blaugrana is currently on a three-year hiatus but are on the cusp of recapturing the La Liga title after three years. Here is a list of the past ten winners.

Season

Winner

Runner Up

2021/22

Real Madrid

Barcelona

2020/21

Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid

2019/20

Real Madrid

Barcelona

2018/19

Barcelona

Atletico Madrid

2017/18

Barcelona

Atletico Madrid

2016/17

Real Madrid

Barcelona

2015/16

Barcelona

Real Madrid

2014/15

Barcelona

Real Madrid

2013/14

Atletico Madrid

Barcelona

2012/13

Barcelona

Real Madrid

La Liga Top Goalscorers

There have been a number of deadly attackers playing in La Liga. Some of the best goalscorers in the world have featured for Spanish clubs and have made their mark not only in Spain but in world football as well. Currently, the top two are all-time greats Lionel Messi, with 474 goals, and Cristiano Ronaldo, with 311 goals to his name.

While the legendary duo is still actively playing football, they two don’t feature in Spain anymore. Messi has moved to PSG, while Cristiano Ronaldo is playing football in the Far East with the Saudi side Al-Nassr. Lionel Messi currently holds the record for scoring the most goals in a single season, when he scored 50 during the 2011/12 campaign.

Among the active players who are still competing in Spain is Karim Benzema, the fifth of all time. He currently has 233, but he will certainly add some more goals and surpass the likes of Hugo Sanchez at the fourth spot (234 goals) and Telmo Zarra in third (251 goals).

Here is a list of La Liga’s top scorers from the past ten seasons.

Season

Top Goalscorer

Club

Goals

2021/22

Karim Benzema

Real Madrid

27

2020/21

Lionel Messi

Barcelona

30

2019/20

Lionel Messi

Barcelona

25

2018/19

Lionel Messi

Barcelona

35

2017/18

Lionel Messi

Barcelona

34

2016/17

Lionel Messi

Barcelona

37

2015/16

Luis Suárez

Barcelona

40

2014/15

Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid

48

2013/14

Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid

31

2012/13

Lionel Messi

Barcelona

46

Spanish Clubs in Europe

La Liga clubs have had tremendous success when competing in European competitions. We can’t go on without mentioning Real Madrid, as the Blancos have won the Champions League a record number of 14 times so far. Currently, they are still in the competition and are looking to add a 15th title and increase their Champions League trophy tally.

Barcelona is the only other Spanish club to have won the Champions League. Blaugrana has five trophies, with the latest one coming in 2015. Atletico Madrid has appeared in the final three times but never managed to win. The same goes for Valencia, as they have two final appearances.

When it comes to the Europa League, the Spanish clubs are far more successful. There have been five La Liga winners to win the tournament, with Sevilla being the all-time leader with six trophies. Los Nervionenses won the title in 2020 last and are looking to do it again this year.

Atletico Madrid has three Europa League titles. Interestingly, Colchoneros have never lost when appearing in the final of the Europa League. The same thing goes for Real Madrid (two trophies) and Valencia and Villarreal (a trophy apiece). Athletic Bilbao, Espanyol, and Alaves have reached the final but never managed to win one.

La Liga Rivalries

The Spanish league boasts a few rivalries, both intercity and local ones, that make the game even more interesting to watch. Without them, the league would not be the same, and even though things sometimes get out of hand, it makes for much better viewership.

El Clasico: Played between the two best clubs in Spain, Barcelona and Real Madrid. The two most successful clubs of Spanish football regularly compete for a title, making their encounter a pivotal part of the season and sometimes the determining factor.

The Madrid Derby: The second most hated club for Real Madrid supporters is their home-time rival Atletico Madrid. With the rise of Atletico and the Colchoneros being back to the top of Spanish football, this rivalry has become as heated as ever.

The Basque Derby: Played between two founding members of the Primera Division, the derby pits the two clubs from the Basque country against one another. However, sometimes the game between Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad can become much more heated than any other derby in Spain. Sometimes making it even more dangerous to watch.

The Seville Derby: Sevilla and Real Betis are not regular title contenders in Spain. In fact, in recent seasons, Sevilla has been the more successful of the two. But this year, we are seeing a much stronger Betis side, making the Seville Derby much more relevant than it ever was.

The Catalan Derby: With two clubs coming from Catalunya and Barcelona, it makes sense that the games between Barca and Espanyol have earned the monocle of a derby game. Actually, the two hated sides try to one-up each other every season. Espanyol might not be winning any trophies any time soon. But they will be happy if they prevent Barcelona from doing it.

This season’s match between Real Madrid and Barcelona ended with a bit of a surprise. Real Madrid won. It is a bit of a shock, though it is easy to see how it came to this.

Both teams were able to miss a few matches of La Liga. Barcelona has not been fortunate at the beginning of their campaign and this match was no different. On the other hand, Real has been on fire. The long-awaited El Clásico ended with 1-3.

First Half

There have always been and always will be matches that go without a single goal even in extra time. This was not one of them. Merely five minutes into the game, Federico Valverde took advantage of a delicate pass by Benzema and scored.

Barça was quick to respond with Ansu Fati. Assisted by Alba, Fati just tapped the ball into Real Madrid’s goal making the score 1-1. The first ten minutes promised a clash of giants. Both teams were ferocious, though Madrid had more control over the ball. The first half ended with no more goals.

Second Half

Two failed attacks by Barcelona made the team a bit careless. Sergiño Dest awarded his opponents with a free-kick because of a handball. Two minutes later, Real was allowed a penalty kick. Clément Lenglet pulled on Sergio Ramos in an attempt to get the ball. Ramos then scored the second goal for Los Blancos.

Near the end, Real Madrid took the job of unsuccessfully attacking away from Barcelona. That is, until the end of the match. In the 90th minute, Luka Modric sealed the win for his team.

Aftermath

Barça hasn’t lost like this to Los Blancos for more than 10 years. Messi’s team needs to focus. The difference between the two teams is much larger on the scoreboard of La Liga than anticipated.

Barcelona’s first match in La Liga was against Villareal and it was everything we’ve expected and more. Though Unai Emery knew how to challenge Barcelona in the past, this time his team came up short. Villareal’s losing streak against Barça continues for the foreseeable future.

The Storm

The match was practically over in the first half. Young Ansu Fati scored the first goal in minute 15, assisted by Lenglet and Alba. The 17-year-old is slowly being recognized as one of the best and, as a result, got promoted into the first squad.

Villareal did not have time to rest, as Fati shook their net once more mere 4 minutes later. The penalty in the 35th minute was the perfect stage for Lionel Messi’s comeback. He scored his first goal of the campaign. It’s also his first goal since his attempt to leave the club.

No other player from Barcelona scored a goal for the remainder of the match. That doesn’t mean that the goal difference did not go up. While trying to defend a shot by Messi, Villareal’s defender, Pau Torres, diverted the ball just enough for it to go past Asenjo. The first half and, subsequently, the entire match ended with 4-0.

The Aftermath

In the second half, Barcelona eased up a bit. This, in turn, caused Villareal to fight with more spirit. Unfortunately, it was no use. While Barça failed to score any further goals, the gap was already too wide for the Yellow Submarine. Furthermore, they did not make full use of the second half and the change in rhythm, keeping their number of goals scored at zero.

All in all, the match went about as well as it could be expected. After all, Barcelona is Barcelona and Villareal has not managed a victory in 12 years. Still, the performance of Sergio Sanjo should receive praise. True, he did let four balls past him, one of which was from his teammate. However, he also prevented further damage to his club.

After a long wait, Barcelona is finally stepping into La Liga. Their first opponents are Villareal, who have not won a game against Barcelona since 2008. However, it is still possible that they are going to surprise one of the biggest names in football. Their lineup may be what it takes to bring down their opponents. In addition, the Blaugrana may still be under the effects of the Champions League and in need of recuperation.

Expectations and Reality

Barça has had an interesting year, to say the least. Their performance in the Champions League earned them a bit of respite from the opening matches in La Liga. Furthermore, with Messi’s attempt to leave that ultimately proved fruitless, it became a question of whether or not Barcelona can step up.

After the defeat in the quarterfinals by Bayern Munich, the morale was low for Lionel and his team. Bouncing back from a score of 8-2 is nothing to sneeze at. It is certainly not something that happens to a team of Barcelona’s caliber. Luckily, Messi decided to stay and dedicate himself entirely to Barça, at least for the current season.

Villareal is probably going to give Barcelona a run for their money. Starting the season, they got a draw against Huesca. However, they defeated Eibar with two goals to one. Their shots were far more precise. Their manager, currently, is Unai Emery, a known thorn in Barcelona’s side. At the very least, Villareal is going to present a challenge to the legend that is Barça.

Who Will Win?

Our prediction still favors Barcelona. While their preseason was not up to their name, they have had time to sort out their issues. Messi’s dedication is no longer a matter of speculation. We expect there is going to be a difference of two or more goals in their favor. Villareal is going to be aggressive, but they will not be able to score more than twice for the entire match. Out of their last 20 clashes with Barcelona, they managed to get a draw four times. The rest were outright losses.

Where to Watch

For those of us who don’t have access to the specific TV channels, there are several streaming options. fuboTV is a solid option for the viewers from the USA, while some places, like India, are going to have to rely on things like Facebook Live. bet365 is also offering streaming services to its loyal patrons.

The long-awaited La Liga is finally starting again. The Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Primera División was scheduled for Friday, September 11. Originally, Granada was supposed to clash against Athletic Club on their home field. However, a scheduling disagreement prevented this. Namely, a judge from the Spanish football federation has made a ruling. The competition cannot take place on either Mondays or Fridays.

This means that the first game is going to be between Eibar and Celta Vigo. After that match, the fans are going to enjoy the game between Granada and Athletic Club. Saturday is also bringing us a match between Cadiz and Osasuna.

On Sunday, September 13, Alavés are going to take on Real Betis. Real Valladolid’s opponents are Real Sociedad. Villareal and Huesca are also clashing. The final match of the day is going to be between Valencia as the host and Levante.

Why Are Some Teams Missing?

The weekend is gripping with seven matches. This is to allow teams involved in European matches to recharge. These teams include Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Getafe, among others. Instead, they are going to be returning to the competition in the following rounds.

This does not mean that the weekend is going to be uneventful. True, many fans are following the competition to see the latest El Clásico. These matches are going to allow other teams to enjoy the spotlight. For some, this is going to be a great introduction to the great things to come, while others may even select their new favorites.

Naturally, the matches are going to be without fans. The coronavirus precautions are still in place. This may deprive some teams of the support they normally enjoy. However, we can be sure that we are still in for some quality entertainment. La Liga is back.
